Dr. David A. Almeida is Professor of Special Education at °®Ç鵺ÂÛ̳ (°®Ç鵺ÂÛ̳). He was previously Associate Professor of Education at Stonehill College (SC). He served as department chair at both °®Ç鵺ÂÛ̳ and SC as well as Acting Associate Dean. Dr. Almeida was a founding faculty member of the Pedro Pires Institute for Cape Verdean Studies at °®Ç鵺ÂÛ̳. Prior to his work in higher education, Dr. Almeida was a special education teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
